And by their very nature, different wood species
have different levels of hardness. This could be a deciding factor in your choice of wood. The hardness of wood flooring is measured using the Brinell method. This involves a steel ball
with a diameter of 10mm being pressed against
the surface of the wood with a perscribed force
and duration. The indentation this leaves is
then measured. The harder the wood, the
