floor before any work took place. As you can see the fire place has been removed and the floor needs to be patched in with new wood to match the old.
Here the floor has been lifted back to create a new stagger, this will allow the wood to fit together properly without leaving an obvious edge.
With the floor having been patched, it's now time to sand the wood back to its original beauty - ready for 3 coats of varnish.
